Winter Skin Care

 In Blog

With the cold weather comes cosy comforts such as hot chocolate and roaring fires, but unfortunately chilly days and central heating aren’t always good for our skin.

Although many of us love a crisp morning, our skin can suffer with the change in extremities from the cold outdoor climate to entering a warm heated indoors. Low humidity is another contributing factor causing our skin to lose moisture and become dehydrated. Winter skin can become dry and even cause the winter itch!

Skin changes to look out for are tightness, flaking and increased sensitivity. Those of us with rosacea often see an increase in redness and skin flushing.

Our skin needs protecting especially in the winter with extra nourishment.

Keeping our skin hydrated and nourished with added vitamins is important to continue promoting skin health throughout the colder months.

To help combat the effects of winter we have recommended some products and treatments for this time of year.

Please do ask questions and come in to see us if you would like a review of your skin care routine or would like to discuss advice on combating the signs of winter on your skin.
